Following a Masters degree in violin performance from the Royal Academy of Music, London, I was awarded a Wingate Scholarship in 2003/2004 to undertake a postgraduate course in violin performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria, in the violin class of Prof. Michael Frischenschlager. After completing the course, I continued studying with Prof. Frischenschlager in Vienna and am currently working with him to translate and publish his violin technical programme in a German/English edition with an accompanying DVD. Having a PhD in Genetics, I am pursuing a joint career as a violinist and biologist. Recent performances in Vienna have been as a soloist and chamber musician at the Leopold Museum, Radiokulturhaus, Greek Embassy, Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Austrian Academy of Sciences and Novartis. In addition, I work as a science editor at the Gregor Mendel Institute and as a biology lecturer at the University of Vienna.
