I can honestly say that the Wingate Scholarship proved a turning point in my career. It enabled me to complete my PhD Thesis "Teacher Motivation Learning and Practice in Online Collaboration", at Exeter University.
On being awarded my doctorate I applied to join the National College for School Leadership (NCSL) as part of their online team providing e-learning for School Leaders across the country. This allowed me to put into practice many of the lessons from my research.
I am involved in several exciting developmental projects such as 'Leading Sustainable Schools' and 'Next Practice'. I regularly facilitate online interaction between Educationalists and School Leaders. I have also been able to develop and apply models from my thesis for use by a wide audience. This has in turn led to conference presentations and publications:

It is very worthwhile work as there is close contact with students and schools and the benefits to all learners are tangible.
