The Wingate Scholarship allowed me to continue work on my D.Phil, which I am currently writing up whilst visiting a lab at the University of San Diego. I am hoping to continue in research after submission of my thesis. My research has shown that mutations which are selectively neutral at the level of gene expression (phenotype) can have profound consequences on long term evolutionary patterns by changing the evolutionary potential of future individuals. I have also worked as a retained lecturer and as the Dean of the Waynflete for Magdalen College, Oxford as well being a freelance tutor.
