I have subsequently taught at Southampton University, Royal Holloway (University of London), and am now Reader in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the Open University. The research I did while a Wingate scholar was developed and finally published as a monograph in 2004 as 'Spinoza and Republicanism' (Palgrave Macmillan).
Other books include, 'Rational Woman: A Feminist Critique of Dichotomy' (Routledge 1998, second edition Manchester University Press 2002),
'Sovereignties: Contemporary Theory and Practice' (Palgrave Macmillan 2007), and 'Sovereignty: Theory and Practice (Imprint Academic, 2008 forthcoming). My current research projects are on the character of international political space, and the rethinking of politics and the body.
