'False Memory' was published complete by Salt in 2003 and was a poetry bestseller, named as a book of the year by the New Statesman and as poetry book of the year by the Guardian also in 2003. It has been very widely reprinted in anthologies in USA and UK. Meanwhile, I was appointed the first Professor in Poetry at the University of Plymouth in 2000 and have continued to be given great opportunities to develop my work there and to teach specialist courses in poetry and creative writing. I work in a great department with talented people and I love my job. Recently, I received a Research Leave award for a creative project, 'Covers', from the Arts and Humanities Research Council. 'Meaning Performance: Essays on Poetry' was published by Salt in 2006 and my new poetry collection
'Covers' was published in September 2007.
